Faith Based Curriculum
A faith-based homeschool curriculum is an educational program designed for families who wish to integrate their religious beliefs and values into their children's learning experience at home. This type of curriculum combines academic subjects such as mathematics, science, language arts, and history with teachings and perspectives rooted in a specific faith tradition. It typically includes religious texts, scripture studies, character development, and moral teachings aligned with the family's religious convictions.
Many of the faith-based homeschool curricula are Christian, due in large part to the history of homeschooling in the United States. That said we strive to create an inclusive listing of resources and are always in search of recommendations for curriculum that meet the needs of our diverse community. If you have suggestions for additional faith-based programs, please contact us with your ideas. It's also worth noting that families who homeschool through a public charter school will need to select secular work samples to turn in every month.
Christian Curriculums
Workbooks Grades K-8
This local favorite is a comprehensive, non-denominational, Christian curriculum designed to provide an engaging and holistic education for students. The curriculum covers subjects such as language arts, math, science, social studies, handwriting, and art. It incorporates literature, beautiful artwork, and nature studies to foster a love for learning and a connection to the natural world. The curriculum emphasizes character development, virtues, and high moral values. "The Good and the Beautiful" curriculum aims to provide a gentle and positive approach to education while instilling a sense of wonder, goodness, and beauty in students' learning experiences. Many of the materials are free.
Literature based Grades K-12
Sonlight is a popular Christian homeschool curriculum that emphasizes literature-based learning. It offers a comprehensive program that integrates Bible studies with subjects like history, language arts, and science. This curriculum allows the parent to select an all-in-one program or shop by subject. Each program offers an easy-to-follow pacing guide to help the parent know what to work on next. They also separate activities into "table" or "couch" subjects. This separation makes it easier to teach multiple children at once.

Easy Peasy is a free online homeschool curriculum created by a homeschool family. It offers a comprehensive education from preschool to high school, covering subjects like math, language arts, science, history, art, music, and physical education. With an emphasis on using online resources, Easy Peasy incorporates interactive content and multimedia to enhance learning. It promotes self-paced learning and allows customization, making it a flexible and popular choice for homeschooling families.

Abeka is a well-known Christian curriculum that focuses on a traditional academic approach. It covers core subjects such as math, language arts, science, and history, while incorporating biblical teachings throughout the curriculum. Abeka emphasizes memorization, drills, and hands-on activities to reinforce learning.

BJU Press is a Christian homeschool curriculum that offers a variety of subjects for different grade levels. It provides a comprehensive education with a biblical worldview, integrating scripture, character development, and critical thinking skills into subjects like math, language arts, science, and history.
Bible based science Grades K-12
Apologia is a Christian homeschool curriculum primarily focused on science. It offers comprehensive science courses from elementary to high school levels, presenting scientific concepts from a biblical perspective. Apologia also includes resources for other subjects, such as worldview studies and language arts.
Charlotte Mason Grades K-12
My Father's World is a Christian homeschool curriculum that offers a holistic and hands-on approach to learning. It provides comprehensive programs for different grade levels, integrating Bible studies, literature, history, science, and art. My Father's World encourages family involvement and aims to foster a love for learning. It is designed to teach multiple children at once and with structured mornings and flexible afternoons.

Although we have not received local feedback on these curriculums (which is usually our basis for posting curriculums), we have included them here as resources that might be of interest for Jewish homeschoolers.
