This approach is based on Charlotte Mason's educational philosophy, which emphasizes nature study, living books, real-world experiences, and meaningful relationships.

This method follows a three-stage approach to learning, with emphasis on grammar, logic, and rhetoric.

Waldorf education is based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, and emphasizes imagination, creativity, and a holistic approach to learning. Oak Meadow is popular curriculum for Waldorf Homeschoolers.

Montessori education is based on Maria Montessori's educational philosophy, which emphasizes self-directed learning, exploration, and hands-on activities.

Most homeschoolers in our area fall into this category. This approach combines elements of many or all of the different approaches listed above.

Unit studies focus on a singular theme for a unit and then incorporates different academic areas of studies in that unit.
