Astronomy at Paradise Lake

Participants are invited to join Paradise Recreation and Park District for an enchanting evening at Paradise Lake on September 19, 2026. The event features a sunset paddle across the pristine waters, followed by an astronomy tour led by presenter Scott Amick. With minimal ambient light pollution, Paradise Lake offers an ideal setting for stargazing. The experience runs from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm at the North Lake Access/Boat Launch. Registration is $30 per person, with kayak rentals available for an additional $25. This unique combination of paddling and celestial exploration showcases both the lake's natural beauty at dusk and the spectacular night sky overhead.
