Town of Durham celebrates pride in their community with a parade followed by picnic in Durham County Park. Parade starts at 10:00 am in Downtown Durham and the picnic starts at 11:30 at the Durham Community Park.

About the event

Join the Durham Community in celebrating the 106th Annual Durham Parade and Picnic.

The theme this year is, "Drought Stricken Still Kickin'".

The Parade starts at 10:00 am sharp in downtown Durham and the Picnic at the Durham Community Park follows immediately afterwards with an official kick off at 12:00. This event is a great time to get together with friends and family as well as a time to meet your fellow community members.

Events Include: 

--The Durham Exchange Club will be providing a variety of ice cold beverages from some of our best local vendors! --Various Food Trucks will be there to feed your appetite in many exciting ways. --The Durham Community Womens' Club will be serving their legendary strawberry shortcake. --Durham 4H is bringing their friendly animals for everyone to meet! --Live music from local cover band sensation Mixtape will keep us dancing all afternoon! --Chico Princess Parties will be bringing special guests you will not want to miss! --Funny Faces face painting will be there to make sure everyone is looking festive! --Bounce houses and inflatable slides will be available, free of charge, for hours of fun! --We are continuing the tradition of the Vendor Fair so you can browse locally provided goods. --We will be doing a 3 vs 3 Basketball Tournament.

New this year we will be doing an evening Homerun Derby presented by DRPD at 6:30 at the Durham Community Park followed by a professional fireworks show you will not want to miss!

This event's sole purpose and mission is to provide a fun filled day that brings everyone from Durham and its surrounding communities together. We would like everyone to know they are welcome and we hope to see you there!
