About the event
From The Ground Up offers a free weekly gardening program for kids from the spring through the fall. This favorite family activity invites kids and parents to help care for the plants and the community garden at the Kentfield Community Garden. They will have garden inspired art projects along with hands-on learning to teach families how to grow your food and care for a garden. Food grown in the garden is donated to local groups serving people in need. The parents run this program and From the Ground Up offers the garden space and supplies. The kids have so much fun and don't even realize the science, math, nutrition, physical fitness and so many other lessons that are included in growing food.
