If your homeschooler loves nature, science, or just getting outside and exploring, this one is a must! The Spore Explorer Kids Program is a parent-and-teacher-led outdoor program designed to ignite curiosity about fungi and the natural world — a perfect real-world supplement to your science curriculum.
Join in for walks and hands-on exploration of the fungal ecology of the area. Activities throughout the year include guided foraging expeditions, spore printing, nature journaling, and building miniature mushroom habitats. Children will also learn foundational concepts in fungal biology, ecology, and forest health — including how to observe fungi safely and responsibly.
The program is open to ages 5 and up, and a parent or guardian is welcome…
