The Wildflower Ride & Festival is a beloved Chico tradition that has welcomed cyclists from across the country for over 40 years. This is a fantastic outing for homeschool families — real-world lessons in fitness, community, and even environmental stewardship all rolled into one weekend.
The festival kicks off Saturday, April 25 (12–6 PM) with live music, local food trucks, a cycling gear expo, a bicycle skills rodeo, and a helmet decorating station — fun for the whole family.
Ride day is Sunday, April 26, with eight route options ranging from 12 to 125 miles, making it accessible for all ages and abilities. Support vehicles, stocked rest stops, maintenance stations, and a post-ride meal are all included with registration.
